Farewell & thanks Jake Molloy!

Earlier this week we bid farewell to Jake Molloy from the UK who has been volunteering at the Kick4Life Centre in Lesotho for the last seven weeks.

Jake, 18, has been supporting across different parts of the organisation during his time in the Mountain Kingdom, including the Academy where he shared experiences of education in the UK, and in the social enterprises, helping out at the Hokahanya reception and in No.7 restaurant. Jake also assisted with marketing and communication, and spent time with our community programmes and football departments.

The farewell was a rollercoaster of emotions as Jake had found a second home in Lesotho, and had made lots of friends with Kick4Life staff and volunteers. K4L Country Director, Motlatsi Nkhahle, said: “We would like to thank Jake for being with us, for coming to Lesotho and connecting with what we do. He really gave himself out and we loved seeing that spirit of volunteerism. Thank you once again Jake, we wish you well in your future endeavours and in your life’s journey.”

Jake stated that the last two months have been the best moments of his life and it has been a great pleasure getting to know and work with everyone in the organisation. He added: “Kick4Life has been incredibly beneficial, it has been some of the best months of my life. I have never felt so a part of a community. Kick4Life epitomises kindness and will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
